What happens on the day?
Topsail has joined up with Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi, who run Caffe Caldesi, Caldesi Restaurant and their Italian Cookery School La Cucina Caldesi. They have a wealth of experience along with Giancarlo’s passion for his native Tuscany.
This event can be a full or half day, and tailored to your requirements – we have many options and are always open to ideas and suggestions to make your event memorable. The day can be a straightforward lesson or can be a team building session with blind tasting – and always with an element of fun! Options include a hands-on Pastamaking Masterclass with Giancarlo Caldesi (guests will be taught how to make pasta from scratch; they will roll, cut and stuff it and learn which sauces suit which shapes of pasta), anti pasti, or fish & seafood to tie in with the nautical theme.
Guests board one of our beautiful barges at a pier in the city, cruising east, with the finale of the day being Tower Bridge opening just for the group. Welcomed onboard with a reception drink, guests will soak in the sights of London from the river before heading down into the saloon for a day of creative cooking, ending with a delicious meal guests have helped to produce. The event can also be held static at the quayside in stunning St Katharine Docks.
Please note this event is for private/corporate charters and not for individuals. Prices start from £88 + VAT per head, based on 40 guests for a 4-hour event static at the quayside in St Katharine Docks.

What should I wear?
As the occasion demands – dress can be as formal or as relaxed as you choose. Flat-soled shoes please and wrap up warm in winter and bring extra layers even in summer as it can sometimes get cold on deck.
Restrictions
None, however, as our events are aboard historic ships the vessels do not all have disabled facilities, however we will do everything we can to follow current legislation and endeavour to maximise access wherever possible.
Is this activity weather dependent?
In the unlikely event of extremely bad weather (if the skipper decides not to sail) we will re-schedule the event.

Topsail Events & Charters Ltd carries products and/or public liability insurance limited up to £5,000,000 for any one accident and in all. The various charter vessels have different levels of limitation to their liability insurance, further information on this is available on request.
