What happens on the day?
The Glide3 Group Experience is perfect for a few friends to enjoy a morning or afternoon driving hovercraft. There needs to be 4 of you altogether, so you share the cost as well (it works out at £169 each). You will each get one-on-one tuition in the hovercraft with an instructor, learning the basic skills of driving a hovercraft. To add to the excitement you will also get to complete a timed lap each so you can compare scores. You will be equipped with life jackets from Crewsaver, jackets from GUL, high quality headsets from Neptune, and helmets from Gecko. The hovercraft are made in the UK and designed specifically for leisure, easy to learn how to drive, and it's designed to be at home in marine conditions, complete with plenty of inbuilt buoyancy so you float like a cork if you stop on water.
Choice of Locations
Basildon (Essex). Our exclusive location in Essex is about 40 miles from Central London, you will have access to a 6 acre lake and the surrounding field. Details of how to get to the location are sent out when you book.

You should allow at least 4 hours for a group experience
Are spectators allowed?
You can bring friends and family to watch.
What should I wear?
You will be provided with splash jackets, waterproof trousers, life jackets, protective ear and eye wear on the experience. There is no need to get your feet wet on your event because you will get into and out of the hovercraft on land. But to ensure that you are warm enough you should dress appropriately for the weather, with sensible non-slip shoes.
Restrictions
You must be at least 16 years old. Reasonable agility is required to get into the hovercraft, if you have any concerns please call us 0845 226 0748. Your weight should not exceed 120kgs. You don't need any driving or boating experience.
Is this activity weather dependent?
Hovercraft can be flown in most weather however some conditions are not suitable such as wind conditions of more than force 4. We will call you if the event cannot be held that day.
