What happens on the day?
Topsail has teamed up with top shooters Pursuits & Pastimes to bring you a truly polished yet fun event. The clay pigeon shooting instructors are among the best in the world; the catering, boat and event itinerary are also top-class to make for one of the most exciting events in London. But without a doubt the highlight of the day will be the opening of Tower Bridge as the barge passes underneath.
The clay pigeon shooting cruise usually begins at Butlers Wharf and finishes at London Bridge City Pier. The initial cruise takes guests past the Royal Naval College, Cutty Sark and Millennium Dome at Greenwich, then through the Thames Barrier until we reach the ultimate destination at Thamesmead where the ship moors up to a buoy and shooting begins.
Should your group prefer a different itinerary, we can tailor this package to suit your requirements.For a shortened cruise it is also possible for guests to embark at Barrier Gardens Pier (adjacent to the Thames Barrier).
Please note that this activity is for private charter events only, not for individuals.
10h00 Guests board the barge at Butlers Wharf Pier and are welcomed on board with coffee and pastries
10h15 Following a safety briefing, the barge sets off down river passing Canary Wharf, Greenwich, the Millennium Dome and the Thames Barrier on route
12h15 At the shooting site, the instructors begin a safety briefing
12h45 The clays go up and the shooting begins
13h45 A buffet lunch is served
15h15 Winners take part in the play-offs, then we cruise back upriver
15h30 The bar is opened as the prize-giving ceremony commences.
16h00 Afternoon tea is served
17h00 Tower Bridge is raised exclusively for your guests in a grand finale before we arrive back at London Bridge City Pier

How long does it last?
Full day (7-8 hours) or half day (5 hours). Approx 2.5 hours clay shooting.
Are spectators allowed?
No spectators.
What should I wear?
Flat-soled shoes (stilettos mark the deck) and bring layers as it can get chilly on deck even in summer.
Restrictions
Adults only.
Is this activity weather dependent?
In the unlikely event of extremely bad weather (if the skipper decides against sailing) we will re-schedule the cruise.

No minimum but you must charter the entire vessel. Maximum 45 guests.

No alcoholic drinks before shooting.
Insurance Details
Topsail Events & Charters Ltd carries products and/or public liability insurance limited up to £5,000,000 for any one accident and in all. The various charter vessels have different levels of limitation to their liability insurance, further information on this is available on request.
